We are heading to Alexander Lake Lodge tomorrow for the week and checking to see if anyone can update me on how much snow the last storm dropped and/or how the riding conditions are.
Depending on location, the Mesa got close to two feet out of last weeks storm. Looks like you picked a good week to come out, it started snowing again this morning with 1-2 feet possible by tomorrow. Cloudy Wed and another storm coming in Thurs. Enjoy!
Just watch your azzz on anything with a tilt to it! We watched two small avys on Saturday, both triggered by our group passing by on the trail!!! It snowed all day today and you are going to have as much snow as you could possibly want. There is snow in the forecast all week except Wednesday. We were on the east end of the Mesa on Saturday and there was a good 15 to 18 inches of new stuff.
Seriously, watch for avy conditions everywhere and make sure you have good safety equipment including at a minimum beacons, shovels and probes for everyone in the group. It is in your best interest to make sure that all the guys in your group know how to use it too since it might be you they have to dig out!
THE SNOW ON THE MESA IS AWESOME RIGHT NOW!!! Woo Hoo!!!
