Im near nelson bc im far away from you. Im younger and my dads trying to convince me to get one but i have a m7 i weigh 160lbs and i love it just been thinking of going more power. I love the idea of the tq of these sleds but i wouldnt have a ton of money to mod like i would a bit but i would want more power to and i dont know its just i cant justify them in stock or slightly modded form and only having the power of a 700 2 stroke and weighing like what 550lbs ? So about 100lbs more then my current m7..... someone convince me

love mine its easy to ride takes alot of rider input (leaning, foot placement etc) not a sit down and ride sled. i just wish i had one of those spinny thingys on the back!

I just got mine, coming off a phazer i am satisfied.

Heard alot about the handling and sidehilling being bad.
So one my first ride i used all my power and ended up tipping it into the hill.

I like it.

Sorry for tye bad english

They handle fine as long as you never test ride a M8 or Pro RMK. :face-icon-small-sho

In all honesty it is the hardest of the big 4 MTN sleds to ride. The only way I would consider one is with 220+hp.

Ya well i currently ride a m7 and i got it lighter then stock and plan on dropping more if i keep it. If not i will get a nytro and slowley upgrade it then eventually turbo it ..... thats just you know thoughts running through my head.

I think it all depends upon the snow you are riding in. If it is good snow then they are great to ride. When the snow sets up you start feeling the front end weight of the sled. It will be different than your M7. All of the rider forward sleds are a little different to ride than the M series is.

Ya well my dad didnt even tell me before but he just told me when i was riding last year he tried out a guys nytro and said he could feel the difference in the front end but he still wants one he says. I want to test ride one first

It is about trade offs. I don't know of anybody that rides a Nytro because it is the best handling sled on the snow and it will never be the lightest. Most people ride them because they take boost very well and are reliable. A decent rider can take them anywhere a 2 stroke will go and a boosted one will go lots of places a 2 stroke won't go.

You need to figure out what you want. If you eventually want boost and you don't want to have to tow it out of the trees once a year but you can give up some handling you should buy a Nytro. If really light weight, great handling and/or jumping are your deal but you can give up some reliablity then you should buy a Pro, an XP or a PC.

well my dads convinced on getting one and hes a bigger guy so ill let him plus he will probably get me to do some work on the sled or both of us to update and loose some weight and gain some power. Im younger and i pay for my own stuff for the most part so im gonna wait try his and then if i like it ill get one then upgrade things as i have enough money then in a couple years go boost. Im just worried cause i like side hilling and being in control and tossing my sled around and im only 160lbs so ya.

Well, I have had a light weight 1150 twin, 900 turbo, m1000 turbo, and just got my MCXpress this year with VE tunnel, timbersled rear suspension, skinz front end, AND

I LOVE IT!!! I can ride it jsut as well as any other sled, To me, it feels heavier, but it really is not that bad, and although it certainly is not as flickable as the other sleds I have had, I would not trade it for anything.

Only issue I've had is with drivers, and that is probably becasue I did not have track tight enough. I have more miles on the Nytro this year already, than the last 2-3 years, mostly because of break downs.

Could not keep a crank in my 1150, my M1000t has been a big ZERO(you don't know how hard it is for me to say that, having about 20g invested into it) and my 900 turbo had to replace pistons a couple of times, a turbo.

I love the reliability, and it is pretty fun to ride. I can pretty much climb anything I want and i like the fact that i can concentrate on my riding rather than worrying if an engine is going to blow, or a belt, and ruin my climb 3/4 the way up a chute climb....I have a lot of piece of mind.

I bought a 04 REV with a new engine it, and with only about 200 miles on it, the PTO rod went through the case and cylinder, that was just last week. I am about done with 2 strokes, I hate to say it, because I do like them, but I want to ride.

I still have the M1000, the 900, but the 900 chassis is dated(king Cat), and teh M1000 still isnt' running....one issue after another.

Couple other things, I am a smaller guy at 5'6", and 175#, the handle bars and seat are way too high. I fixed the handle bar thing, not sure what to do about the seat, as my turbo is rear mount?
But I still will take it or do things with it where many 2 strokers won't try.

BUT, I still love it. Power is AMAZING, belts run cool.

Oh, sorry, mine is highly modified, I wouldn't own one without a turbo...IMO

Thanks for your opinion sorry about your bad luck the sleds sound sweet. See if i bought one i would have to slowly mod it im younger so i dont have all the money like you guys if i had money i would just do what you do just new rear skid front end turbo different tunnel etc. etc. but i would have to go slowly

How much are you looking to spend? There are a few on here with turbos with, some with a few other goodies, for 8-10g. Pretty good price IMO.

Beleive me, I bought mine used, for 1/2 of what someone spent builing it. That's the only way I could own one.

Well i dont really want all that power yet. Im younger (turning 17 in a couple months) i grew up riding all my life but i was always taught learn to ride a small sled first and work them and ride them fully rather then just relying on power. My buddy got into sledding about 2 years ago this was his first season being out alot hes not bad alot of it is just he has stupidity but the thing is when he has to control his sled he cant cause he didnt grow up riding on small sleds. I believe that plays a big part, i had my m7 last year just when i got it not tuned worn out clutching (3k miles) and he had his 800 rev with some stuff done to it good clutching and all and i could still highmark him when i worked my sled and sidehilled everywhere i got some places he couldnt just because alot of it was him relying on power. Anyways thats one reason is i think im a bit to young for boost right now and plus i dont have the cash.

I really like mine. I did shave 60lbs off of it though and it makes a noticable difference in handling.
I did get a chance to spend some seat time on a new Pro RMK, it is a nice sled for sure. However and this may sound like crazy:crazy: talk, I actually prefered my Nytro! Maybe it's because I've had the Nytro for so long, it's what I'm use to and it feels familar to me.

I bought one this year with the Impulse closed loop setup.
It has been a houge adjustment.
Throttle control is very different the power is unbeliveable, something you have to experince to undestand.
Im glad I made the change,I personaly have found the more boost you run the better it handles.

owned since 2007

i bought one of the first ones in my area 40th anny. was told this was pimp sh** bought it rode it didnt like it she was a slug, followed any track couldnt drive at all put 500 miles on it first year second year only rode it twice third year about the same until march added new gII cut skis pwdlite turbo went from an ugly fat chick to an **** star instantly now i have skins airframes less stupid studs skins front end skins bumper and tunnel ext. m8 rear skid 153, camo extreme aand few more secret mods cannot disclose and i couldnt ask for anymore havent found anything that will stop her or go bye her i am 5'8" and 220 now she floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee
