How exspensive is towgette

I always stay in Dubois. Branding iron is 40$ a night or so only about 30 miles to the divide from there

sent while trying not to JJ My rods!!!!!!

The cabin are $240/night...we fit 5 in one...the food and drinks are WAY over prices compared to Crooked Creek or the Line Shack...Dubious isnt bad if you want to drive...

My first time staying at the lodge...wasnt impressed...

cabin with Fireplace is $261 per night, divided 4 ways isn't to bad. Food and drinks are certainly over priced, $12 for a burger and fries... ouch! Breakfast buffet isn't terrible at $12.50 plus tip, gas price is inflated but i can live with that considering it's so convient. So yes... everything is a bit more costly, but it's the price you pay to be right in it out your front door.

is it worth it?... that depends on who you ask. I would say yes! for our group anyway. We only do this trip once per year, so we treat it like a vacation and spare little expense. We have 2 guys who rent sleds so it's nice that they are right there. Sled rental is costly too, but where isn't it.

The other place I've stayed is crooked creek. It's a nice place and there's no drive.. but to me saving 200$ a night is worth getting up 30 min earlier. Plus the bars are all right close and are typical bar prices

Tog prices

This topic is way old.....:decision: But please explain how $479 for four nights is expensive? Thats all it cost each person in our group with the early season package they offer. It includes food, BEER(for happy hour), your room and a guide. I cant take my wife and ride in the UP of MI for a two day weekend for that! And I promise you if you count your receipts at the end of the week and stay some where else you will save nothing. And if your from out of state you will spend half of your days looking for fresh grounds.

Ive tried all angles (I'm a cheap ***) and this is your best value.:face-icon-small-ton

compared to the $175 for 7 nights we pay........that is way more than I would want to add to my trip.

Our whole trip including gas for the vehicles, sled, lodging and food comes to $650. used to cost just under $500 when gas/fuel was less.

look into west. there are some cabins around lions head that are $1200/wk and sleep up to 12 people.

175

$175 includes food, beer and a guide? Do you ride from you room? If not how much $$$ is fuel to get to where your riding? And how much time does it take to load/unload and travel?

To each is there own..Thats why there is more then one place to stay on the mountain. I think if you add up your TOTAL cost you will be spliting hairs cost wise...and deffenently a better value.

we have stayed at TML 3 times now and we like it ....I would not do more then 4 Guys in the Cabin though ...We put the 2 of the 4 chairs outside so we could put a single Air Matress on the floor ....Also we did our nightly meals at the Cabin our selves ....We did not use TML Grill outside (I dont care for them) I brought our own grill with us for grilling Steaks , Brats and Hamburgers ....

This grill works awesome http://www.grillsdirect.com/gas-grills/portable-camping-grills/weberq220gasgrill.cfm

7 nights just outside of West Yellowstone
Ride from the cabin, dont need guides
Bring our own food and beer and eat like kings
Vehicle fuel $250:scared:
lodging $185
Food/Beer $100:nod:
Sled fuel $130
Total $665 per guy for the whole trip again 7 nights:face-icon-small-coo

we can do the same thing in the snowies for a little less on the lodging, but have to drive up and down the mountain each day.

I am sure it is a fun place to go, but cant justify the extra expense JMO

I just spent 850 including gas to and from WY food pot booze 10 days in alpine 15min sled seat time to ridding spot.Oh that includes e a new pr of motor fist gloves
where we shack up in CO a week costs me less than 600 including gas to get there and home.
and we always eat very good and buy top shelf booze and pot

We stayed at the Lodge in one of the bigger rooms upstairs. Split 5 ways, price wasn't too bad. Food was a littile high but ok. We didn't hire a guide and didn't find the really good riding until the last day, but still would go back if we got the chance.
