how do you remove the windshield

hmm What sled

Stock "m" chassis? Use needle nose to pull the push pins out and then remove the rubber bands holding the corners. you have to raise the hood to do this? hope this helps?

its very easy find a steep hill climb turn out just before the top and fall off the sled windshield should pop right off on the 3rd-4th roll usually lol. pull out the push pins above the head light then open the hood and remove the rubber bands from the corner tabs like said ^^. The big thing is if you have stock intake you will need to re-support the corners of the intake where they were held up by the rubber band/windshield tabs. I drilled a small hole in the hood at the back of the slit where the windshiled tab went through and looped a zip tie through there. i've also seem people put a bolt through the slit w/ washer on the back, whatever works....

No offense, but some people just shouldn't be allowed to work on there own sled.

Aaron

I give him credit for trying, the ones that drop them off at the dealer to have a windshield replaced drive me crazy.

Haha good stuff!

Dont use a needle nose it chews up the plastic, just take a flat head screwdriver or a knife and slide it under the pin and pop it up then it will pull out, and take the flathead screwdriver (not the knife:eek:) and pry the rubber bands off under the hood

p.s. make sure you dont twist when pulling the pins out, ive seen people twist and it usually ends up cracking the cylinder head or scoring a piston

Do you have a Boat with Cover?

I placed my hood on top of the back of my boat(off the sled obviously), cover was on the boat. While working on my sled, I heard the psssssss.......BANG! yep the hood grew legs slid off the back of the boat and flipped in the air causing the winshiled to take the impact. Impressive, it didn't break but guess want the push pins shot out only had to remove the rubber bands then... this might work for you if you have a boat? just sayin? it's an option.

I let my buddy take my sled up the hill so he could try out an M8 and he decided to jump off and let it roll a couple times.....the push pins came out and are still on the hill. So all I had to do was take the rubber bands off when I got home to remove the windshield.
