How do you install stock Hood graphics

I've got a set of 09 Camo LE hood graphics for my white crossfire hood does anyone know how to install them. What I mean is can you use some sort of water combo to spray on the hood first to center the graphic or do you just peal and press the sticker on and hope for the best. Thanks

goto your local graphics shop ask them for some stripe or decal application fluid. if they say use soap and water mix, find another shop. there are specific liquids that dont effect the adhesive backing. put the fluid in a spray bottle and use it liberally.

make sure all old adhesive from prior deals are off, and the panels are dust, dirt and lint free. make sure to get a "bondo" spreader from the auto body store for squeegeeing the fluid and air out of the decals.

i usually spray the decal and the panel lightly, then put the decal in place so it is exactly where i want it. with the fluid, you can pick it up and put it where you want multiple times. if it starts to stick too soon, spray alittle more fluid on it. once it is in place, start from the center and work your way out. the edges and uneven surfaces take alot of pacience and attention. some times you slowly have to work at a stubborn area.

dont rush it, is the best advice i can give you. do everything slow and with purpose. air bubbles and wrinkles ruin the look you are going for. ski

Thanks for the info

Windshield washer fluid works perfect. Once you get the decal where you want it use a squeegee to get the excess out from under the decal

if you go that route... make sure it has no alcohol in the fluid. it will attack the adhesive.

again, for the cost and availability, application fluid is the right tool for the job. ski

I would just make sure that the surface is clean using window cleaner or whatever floats your boat and apply the sticker, plus if it isnt around 65 degrees or so out, I would make sure to use a hair dryer to heat it up so that the adesive makes a good bond with its suface, done this with many stickers and decals and they always stayed on great

i worked for a custome sign and decal shop in the far north b.c..just use warm water in a spray bottle add 1 or 2 drops of johnsons baby shampoo. and bing you got the best way to put the decal on make sure your soak the floor of your shop..so you don not kick up any dust. do not ware long sleave shirt.. again for dust reasons.. soak the crap out of your sled and both sides of the decal..like someone said use blow dryer to get shape and dont rush your self it will take time but look sweet when done.

I must be lazy lol.....

I would just take the sled to your local graphix shop, offer them a couple bucks cash to do it. JMO then you know it'll be done right. Screw it up and you'll have to order another graphic.

Thanks for the info. I did what you said and it work out great. Did need to use a heat gun to get the graphic to go around the bends.
