How do you get the little sig line at the bottom of each post???

I think the title says it all. I cant seem to figure out how to get the little signature line with each post.

go to user cp top of page, read

outlaw,,, click on "private messages" in top right hand corner of page. the new page will have some options listed on the left hand side. Choose "edit signature" Type in what you want to say & save...

..So I do it diff. than most peeps....results the same.
