How do you drain the coolant fluid from a 05 RMK 900?

Buy a hand held fluid transfer pump and suck it out of the reservoir and then each hose. Works very well and doesn't make as big of a mess.

That's the way I do it, and if you want to get every bit out you can use a wet vac to suck the rest out that you can't get with the hand pump.

Yea the shop vac works great!! I believe its the connection to the Right Hand rail behind the can that you connect the vac to and suck it dry. As said above though, check the stickies and how to section.

Any hose will work as far as I could tell, I usually just pulled the hose off the thermostat and stuck the end of the shop vac hose into it... within 20 seconds the system is completely dry

Used high quality low silicate long life coolant ( toyota) with no problems no worries 4k plus miles. and it's red
