How do you all haul fuel?

I just purchased a new 2017 mirage enclosed trailer. Overall very happy with it. What is everyone doing to secure fuel in the trailer? I am hauling 5 gallon race cans and wonder what others are doing to secure those cans.

You can buy or build wall mount racks. Think pit products has them for race cans. I low mount d-rings on the drop doors, and strap the cans there, but never have more than one or two in the trailer.

I got the underbelly fuel tank and use it ALL THE TIME when we go anywhere.
Its SOOOOO NICE to be able to fuel up the sleds directly from the Trailer!

How many gallons is that? Isn't it only like 25-30?

It's a pain for me to fuel up so I built a 100 gallon tank that goes in the neck of the trailer. Fill it about twice a year. Hand pump and vented through the floor. Love it! makes the trailer pretty tougue heavy but as long as you have a 3/4 ton or bigger pickup it actually makes the trailer tow nicer. No tail wagging the dog!

If I recall I pumped about 38 gallons into the new tank, and can burn about 36 of those gallons pumping gas into the sleds.

I also have a Mirage trailer with the fuel tank, its 38 Gal, which for me is a great size. There is a station close to where I live that has non Eth gas, so that is the only gas I ever put in it. It works great, I just wish the pump was a little bigger/faster. It pumps a little slower then I would like.

I'd also like a different way to haul fuel. Anyone try a portable 10-30 gallon tank with a hand pump? Prices vary greatly on those. I just don't want to have the 5g cans all over.

Fuel

We usually put a 120 gal. tank in back of pickup, fill it up at bottom of mountain destination. Made a plug to plug in trailer plug on truck. Usually last 4 sleds a week.

We used to just put a 55 gallon drum with a hand pump on it in the front of the trailer. We added a couple tie down hooks to the wall to secure it. It was an inexpensive solution that ended up working pretty well for us.

Completely Agree!
It works just fine, but it does seem a bit on the SLOW side when its time to fill up 4 sleds.
