how do i know if a 2 stroke needs race gas?

find out the compression.

Or just use it so the exhaust smells good!!!!

Kinda a small bike for a guy though ain't it?

Find a dirtbike forum. There are plenty out there. Also you might put in a call to a Suzuki dealer and ask them what psi you should be looking for. If it does need straight race fuel, that will be pretty costly to run, especially for a kids bike. Chance are you could probably get away with a pump/race mix but def. check first.

I can't see a reason to mod out a 65cc bike...those things rip plenty hard for kids to start with. That is unless he is racing at the national level, then I could see it.

Look up what the stock compression should be and run a compression test. OR you can always ask the previous owner what he did to the engine to require race fuel. He might just be dumb enough to think that since it is a race bike, it needs race fuel.

Ohhhhh there are plenty of reasons to mod the little engines. HEHE
Our 120xc runs quite a bit better when we splash some c12 in her.
It's got a kehin carb, shaved head, and a crankshop pipe. :)

Still would like to do that with mine, but now it is pointless. PJ is literally too tall to ride it. I am trying to find an old but in good shape PHAZER II.

My daughter is 10. She's 4'9". She still rides it. :)
She could handle a 340 now though, if she wanted to.

I just want to get him on something that will really introduce him to riding. Spinning around in a circle on a 120 on hard pack doesn't do what I want. And by the time this kid is 10, he will be as tall as I am. I'm not kidding either. He is bigger than all kindergartners, most 1st graders and some 2nd graders. Second biggest on his hockey team and it was his first year. I'm in trouble

We take it up in the mtns and they ride the groomed trails with it. It's not a high mileage day for me, but they sure have a heck of a good time for them.

It's been on a 20 mile ride before. And YES, I pack gas for them.

Thats awesome! I need to start looking for a 120 for my son in the next two winters since he is almost old enough to ride (3 in July).
