how do i install a clutch

First thing ur gonna need is a clutch puller... use anything else and you will wreck the clutch....

get one of those(for that make and model) and you are good to to, loosen the clutch bolt, use the clutch puller tool and its comes right off...

good luck

Just put it on and tighten the bolt. Simple as that. You are going to want to check the weights and spring with it OFF of the sled. You can do it on the sled but it is 10000 times easier with it off.
Also, as for getting it off, you need to go to the dealer and buy a clutch puller. Or take the sled to your dealer and have them pull it real quick. Any dealer that is worth a $4it will do it for you for free.

well I am pretty sure its not just gonna fall off.. its a tapered shaft...

still gonna need a clutch puller

Do a search on here, there are several threads on pulling a clutch using hydraulic pressure...water. It is the easiest way and minimizes damage.

okm so the shop it was sitting at took it off to see and he told them not to put it back on so all i have to do is make sure its adjusted right and put it on then tighten the bolt

ONce you have the clutch on and torqued, lift the back end up and run the track, putting the brakes on hard a few times. Then retorque it to spec( 55#lbs.) Repeat this procedure until it is torqued to specs and the bolt doesn't turn anymore after you have run the track. If you have snow around, I would just run it 100-200 yards and retorque as above.

It s important that you do this, as the bolt will not be tight after torquing it only once.
