How do I get my M1000 to stop trenching?

I'm just trying to figure out how to get the dang thing to perform the way it should. The PC track is great, but it still doesn't do what it should sometimes. I need to do the rear bumper 09 mod, but my clutching is all bone stock. I haven't checked an altimeter, but I run between 8500 and 11000 feet around here. Is there a good/easy clutch setup for my sled that will make it pull better? It seems to hold rpms while climbing fine, but what do ya think?

look up the Geo Mod. It moves the top mount of the rear arm and the scissor stop. Free and reversible if you don't like it, but it made my sled (08 m 1000) pop on top of the snow faster, gave me more weight transfer, and better bump performance.

As far as the clutching goes RK-tek makes a secondary mod that improves back shift a lot.

I just got my Fox air pump tonight. The guage only goes up to 150 psi. What kind of guage are ya'll using to measure psi after 150?

I was wondering the same... the gauges only go up to 150, and they say 150 is MAX. I always tried to stay away from that 150 because of that. I'm definately going to try adding more air, and i think i'm gonna drill out the lower holes on the front of the skid.

It will read a little higher, I know people with way more air pressure than 150 in theres. Just do like I said, ride it for a little while until you get all the snow build up on it, then park on flat ground and pick up on the rear bumper if it comes up more than 2" add more air. you want it to come up 1-2".

So after reading lots of threads, SOME say that moving the front skid hole down helps, but some say personal preferance, no difference. SOME say the GEO Mod is the best thing since sliced bread, and others say that it mad the rear end sag way too much and their track paddles were hitting the tunnel. I am interested in trying the GEO mod, but still kinda unsure of the hole measurements... didn't really understand the directions for measuring where to drill the holes...

Have you tried what I said yet, if not try it and if you think you need more or want more you can. You will be surprised the difference from incorrect setup to correct.

I got beat by a 05 m7 when I put lots of preload on the front and 130lbs in the rear. then did what I said above and stopped dragging my running boards around and the m7 was no where near as high.

I made all of those adjustments, including tightening the limiter straps. Haven't had a chance to ride yet, I am going to give it a whorl when I get back from the carribean.
