i have a 02 zr 800 with 46psi and its suppose to be 36psi. i changed my pressure regulator and it only dropped it from 49 to 46. im wondering if my fuel pump couldn't be pumping to hard and the fuel pressure regulator cant get it down. i've gone through almost everything any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
how do i fix high fuel pressure?

i dont know anything about cats, but could there be a clogged filter to cause the pressure increase, or a kinked fuel line.is the pump actually putting out that pressure at the pump, is the filter in the tank before the pump? or is the pickup line in the tank corroded from bad fuel causing the pump to starve.

Check it with another gauge just to be sure.
