sorry for the rant but i want honest opinions on what people are paying for sleds...

i have my turbo pro, fully rebuilt and revalved fox evol x and podium x suspension, skinz airframes, full wrap, tag handlebars, 10" billet wheels, powdercoated skid components, rsi risers, zbroz a-arms, extreme bumper, custom low seat, all with a brand new polaris long block with just over 300 miles and i have guys offering me 7k for it... really i have over 20 in this thing easy and i understand im not selling at best time of year, but i will lose my house if i dont!

im asking 9k right now

wtf?!? i would nab the **** out of this if i had money!!!

should i part out or what?
rant over thanks for listening

Sorry for your situation. That's what sucks about mod sleds. Put a pile of money into them, and when it comes time to sell, can't get what a stocker is worth.

Pm me with more details if you could and where your located? Or phone # as well

Miles on whole sled, what/who's turbo all the detailed details I'm looking for
Who rebuilt motor yada yada those sorts of details

Thx

Many turbo dragons are for sale at the same price for a similar mile stock dragon.

I just put different pistons and head on my sled and don't think I could get any extra money for it. I couldn't see getting much more than 6500 for my 2011 assault with 2100 mi.

The 13 pro's are down to almost 9 grand brand new at some dealers.

9K? This must be on standard pro rmk's? The lowest rebates out there let pro rmk 155's leave the doors at $10,080.00. And I thought that was a deal!

You'd be crazy to sell it for 7k, you could sell if for 7k bone stock and then sell all the goodies off it for another 2-3k?. Or part the whole thing out and get upwards 10k, maybe more with the turbo stuff..

Please don't sell it to a craigslist lowballer for 7! I hate craigslist lowballers!!

Called Mies Outland in MN couple weeks ago and they would do 9250 before tax on black pro 155...but only 5 grand trade on my assault. Would expect that to drop more that it's snowcheck season.

Must be a used one I thought pros had to be snow checked. If not I wish pol would get tougher on dealers ordering snow checked sleds and selling them later. They should lose there dealership if caught doing this. This would bring resale values up for us that snowcheck.

Best bet, pull all the hot rod parts and bling that you can. Sell it as stock and sell the extras separately.
Like most people, I typically look at a used mod sled as being worth the same or less than a stock sled with the same miles/condition.
In fact I would be hard pressed to buy a mod unless it was almost new. Like my old M1000, all modded up by original owner, everything but a turbo. I bought it for the same price as a stocker, 200 babied miles on it. Guy finally put it on fleabay and it didn't sell there either and the sled was literally better than new, in the heart of the Rockies, Utah.
Just sold it a month ago, good condition, dialed in, got same or less than a stock M1000 (not that they command much money now anyway) with most of the mods still on it. Didn't have the time to put it back to stock, wouldn't have run right without changing out the clutching, and had sold some of the key stock parts already.

used sleds

I'm looking for low mile 13 pro. The sad thing most people want ten+ for their used sled, when i can buy a new one under 10. It's a bad situation for those sell low mile used sleds.

Lol that price they give you is like an old bait and switch in your case...pretty standard move in any vehicle trade in sales

I'll give you 2000 off a new sled but buy your current sled for 3000 under what I'll sell it for. Profit margin they still will make regardless of how good the upfront looks take a loss on one end and make it up on the other.

But if it works for ya... do it I fackin love my 13

Problem is ,the pro being so popular, the market is flooded with used units. Guys have a hard time dropping even 9k for a sled (with mods) when they can get new for pretty close. I know where I am 13's are going for 10k or less all day.

FWIW I think that sled is worth every penny. I think a part out would be best option, esp the turbo.

Not Snowcheck only. Doo X's and Cat LTDs are spring-only. But not Pro's, in season just like the RMK. Since 11, snowcheck has just given you special colors, usually for more $$$, and 4 yr warranty, financing options.

That's why I still have my assault.
But they would do the claimed price without a trade also.
I'm going to wait for the 15s

As stated there are quite a few out there in the mid 9 range. They were low 9's two weeks ago before the Polaris dropped the last rebate right before the 14's were announced.

I've been looking at both new and 1/2 year old pro's and have debated back and forth. Was quoted around 10,500 out the door on a new 13 here in MN, that includes sales tax, their freight/setup and tags.

in MN, we don't have sales tax on used private party sales. so you need to look at the true out the door price on these new sleds as a 9k used sled from private party is 9k and a 9400 new sled turns out to be 10,500. slap an extended warranty on the new one and now you're up over 11 where some of these used sleds still have 1-2 years left on them as well for 3k less.
