How can I tell?

There is a numbered badge on the dash to the left of the gauge cluster.

yeah that one say "50" in the center which is for the 50 year and on the bottom left it say 1954 and on the other side it say 2004.
I figured that meant "50 years" 2004-1954=50 right?

Normally the one on the dash is a rubbery one as opposed to the metal ones on the hood and it has your "serial" number... My sled is # 850:D

All 2005 sleds were 50th anniversary sleds with the plastic cabuchon on the dash...

There were 50th Anniversary "Editions" all blue and grey with Gold cylinder heads....

Those have the special serial number plaques...

There were also snowcheck versions made that year with the better shocks.

Ok, so I have just a 900 with a fancy dancy button on it, it's right on the dash just to the left of the speedo'. I know you can tell with vin.#'s on cars. Iwas just wondering about the history. But I should think of it this way, I don't need to see where I've been, just where I'm goin'!:D
