How can I remove plastic off old (brand new) windshield?????

Anyone have any suggestion on removing the clear plastic that is on both sides of a old brand new windshield I have had sitting in my garage for 10+ years. I have tried pealing it off cm by cm with little luck and heating it with a blow dryer with no luck. Any suggestiosn or advice is greatly appreciated.

got me stumped - never ran into that - my gut would tell you to try a heat gun or dryer like you said, but if that isn't working then I don't know....sorry

Belt sander.

Really though, I would heat it up because that film will get soft and "melty" long before the windshield should.

There is a local manufacturer in my area for a lot of motorcycle and sled windshields. I would give them a call and see what they say.

Put it in WARM Water AKA Bath Tub..

Nice a warm WATER.. Little Soap..


Slides right off!!

May even have to wait over nite.. but it works!!
