Next time your dealer is not selling you something at cost like everyone thinks he should. Ponder this........ I know a dealer that gave out 400 new belts to his customers who had smoked thiers..........for free. BRP denied a ton of the claims , said the customer did not break in the belt properly. NIce:mad:

Or you could look at it this way,I took my 08 800 in for the driveshaft recall,thats it!My friend dropped it off for me and said call when it's done.I get the sled back with a two page service report."Customer states oil tank is leaking"replaced.Never leaked on me!"Customer states tripometer does'nt work,fixed.Never a problem till I got the sled back and some of my functions don't work now."Customer states handwarmers don't work,replaced.Both worked great when it was dropped off now right warmer does'nt work.There are about 4 more line items but you get the drift.SO WHO IS RIPPIN WHO OFF??I still wonder what customer they talked too because I never said a word other than replace my driveshaft!!!

Pretty easy to see what they are doing there IMO. The recall provides labour of 1 1/4 hours per machine for driveshaft replacement. Not enough time in some cases. Likely picked the common stuff to try and rack up some more warranty time.
 
I see your point but the fact is they screwed stuff up that never should have been messed with in the first place.

we need to keep up the support to our local dealers or we will all be left hauling them down the road for service. a good dealer makes the difference in what you ride. we are lucky to have a great dealer others might not be so lucky, our dealer rides like we do, were we ride, its a ***** about the belts, that is a bad one, we are seeing a couple of great dealers out west close, sad to see, i have delt with both and always had great service.

I'll pick the skidoo dealer anyday.
