1st one lasted 180 miles 2nd 30 miles 3rd is going and has 200. dealer checked alignment and said it is good. they blamed me for riding sea level with cluching for 6000'. which i did 1st 120 miles on first belt. every thing else was blowin out west. the dealer did not tell me what is was set up for when i picked it up either.

I'd bet $$$ that MOST dealers do not have a clue how to properly check the alignment.....and if they do, they won't take the time to do it unless you pay them.

do you guys recomend that qrs shim kit because it has a noticable dog leg in the belt

It pays to have a good dealer. Mine set my clutch up right from the start. No problems here and over 300 miles. Belt still looks new.:D

I went thru 2 belts in 2 days. Aligned it myself and have 3 days on next belt and its almost perfect. Almost - my was so far out I did order a QRS shim kit but have yet to put it in. Mine was out ~ 11 mm on "x".

I would get to know how to align it - check it yourself. Compare your numbers with service bulletin 2009-12 (Dynamo Joe has it available on his website). If your numbers are not in compliance, take it to the dealer and ask him to show you that its in alignment - in compliance with the bulletin.

If if it is out of alignnment then the belts are on Doo's tab.

Also note there is an issue with the primary bushings (2009 - spring cap and the other primary bushing). Some are too tight. Mine were replace on warranty albeit I know my real issue was alignment. They replaced 2 of my belts on the simple premise that a sled should not be eating 1 belt per day - also acknowledging there may be an issue with the bushings.
