How are the HM Turbo's

I see a lot of talk about silber, bd, and ovs, but there has to be a few guys out there with hm's. The set up looks really nice, how are you guys liking them? Any feedback would be great.

Just ordered hm turbo for my dragon, researched last two years boondockers, silber and hm. Hm seems to be a level above the rest but that's my opinion. So do your research and if you get a chance to ride a boosted two stroke sled or ride with one, I would do so.

HM Turbo

I was at turbo day's this weekend and was very impressed with the customer support and overall performance of this system. Shane put on a great show of integrity and drive to make sure everyone of his kit's were spot on, thank's alot for the great time, Turbo Day's will be an annul event from here on out.

hm turbo

first turbo Ihave owned ,installed it my self the fit an finsh were asome was very easy to setup shane was very helpful when needed .it was a little more money than the rest but came complete big thumbs up it and has been trouble free::

see the turbo days thread. I also have a build thread over in member builds section of my HM turbo.

I chatted a bit about it over in the turbo days thread. My BF has been running an HM turbo for years now and she's solid as a rock (and puts out tons of power). I think this year the Pro is there and only time will tell of course but I have confidence in HM's commitment to quality, knowledge and resources to continue to make upgrades and an already great product. Once I get a LITTLE more seat time in this season I can give you some direct feedback on if the tuning is truly simplified but from what we saw this last weekend all the turboed pros up there (except mine with a box issue) were running spot on and not requiring a bunch of messing with them!!

Proven kit by a proven builder. Nobody RandDs like shane. Happy custermer here.

If you do the research you will by this kit, its the only kit I will install for my customers. I would run mine boost for boost against any boondocker or silber out there, no doubt. Spooltime, low charge temps, lightweight, comes with everything to make a good reliable kit. We run a UDX datalogger gauge with every imaginable feature and I can honestly say his kit runs way better than the others, charge temps were at times around 60-70 degrees in powder!!!! Cold air = major hp!

Finally got some time on mine in decent snow... i KNOW it's running a little fat and with my current sled set up it's REALLY tough to tune her in in the trees... but right now that's all we want to ride cause avy danger (and visibility) were really nasty yesterday.

HOWEVER, with two mellow rides (family rides over the holidays, again, no chance to fine tune to mtn riding cause we weren't in anything but meadows) and one decent ride she is running GREAT!!! I had two little bobbles yesterday, all day and she came alive after each of them. I'm guessing she's a little fat but it's REALLY tough for me to tell since I'm delivering SOOO much power to the snow with the turbo at 6 lbs, my mtn tamer skid and peaks track... seriously I was going everywhere everyone else was at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and cracking her wide open and taking the time to look at o2 and r's was TOUGH!!! We were in tight trees and i'm NOT an expert rider....

anyway, excuses aside it ran really well and was SOOOO much better than last year when we rushed the kit. Shane really has this kit dialed in now and I'm confident once I do a tiny bit more fine tuning it will be really solid. without ANY fine tuning and NO touching of the box the last three days I rode in freezing cold conditions to super warm and all across the board in snow... I know it wasn't running AS hard as it could but it wasn't stumbling on me and it was flat out impressive what it could do when it wasn't tuned in for OPTIMUM performance!!!!

my next issue is I'm RARELY at full throttle so my muff pot isn't cooking my food anymore... I hadn't envisioned that issue!! ;) Guess I just need to find nastier terrain to push this machine in and longer pulls!!!! not too bad of a problem to have!!!

HUGE thanks to Shane at HM for working his tail off last spring, this summer and fall... his hard work paid off and this kit feels REALLY solid right now. and the power is officially RETARDED!!! ;) (and soooooo fun!!)

I ran my D8 at 9 lbs this weekend and put some marks on a hill in about 3 feet of deep fresh snow then jumped on Skadi's Pro with it set to 6 lbs and went over the top. Very impressed with the setup. Both are HM kits. The dragon has the Challenger Extreme track and hers has the new Peak track.

Same up here in Canada. Put down my deposit over a month ago. Still waiting on the kit to show up. They say they are shipping after the new year. Here is hoping it comes in. Must be pretty high in demand these kits.

from what it sounds like, he is just having trouble getting turbo's from aerocharger. Aerocharger posted on this forum that their kits are ready for shipping, but I guess the kit builders have to wait. Competing with your competition is not usually a good thing, at least not in the businesses I have been in.

yes, aerocharger needs to send the turbos!:face-icon-small-fro!!!!!!

I don't know about his turbo setup but the water to air intercooler and reed lube kit is wrking real good with my Silber turbo. The craftsman ship of the intercooler is second to none, that I have seen. Very nice product...

we are getting one kit install this week on one of our 2011 rmk and we will match the vi-pec standalone ecu on this baby this week!!! will report after that.........impressed with shane's fit and finish.

I expected to lose a little bottom end throttle response when I went with this intercooler, I was wrong... It seems more snappier then it ever did without the intercooler. It was a challenge getting it all together though. Well worth it, my sled has nvr run this good
