How are the 2007 m1000's?

Hey guys,

I've found a clean looking 07 m1000 with 2200 miles for sale. It has a SLP pipe/can and fuel programmer. I was wondering if this is a good sled to check out, or if they were problem sleds. Would it be only a matter of time before I would be dealing with repair bills? Do they handle good, or are they too bulky?

Thanks!

They had some updates done over the yrs, but I have 2 of them.
Sno pro 07 and 1200 with tunnel updates n all. Both have been great the m1000 is pretty much stock expect for a can, you should see extra heat shields and a extra air vent on the airbox/air track. About the only weak spot I have heard peeps complain about is the weaker diamond drive on these and that using reverse a lot can really work on the weaker drive system.
Weight wise, both of the ones I have are sno pros and have the fox air shocks and ti parts. So they are a little lighter, compared to a brand RMK its around 50lbs difference. With a full exhaust system on there, imagine u lost close to 10-15lbs of weight there. They can be lightened up even more and get closer to the new sleds weight and power on them is good too, not as much low end as the old 900 AC. But smoother overall power and with simple mods can put out around 200hp.

the 09 m1000

is 30 lbs lighter than the 07 m1000, also the 07 had the Crappy track on them, the Power claw came out in 09, 8 lbs lighter due to electronic reverse, and 22 lbs lighter due to new skid.

07 M1000

I'm on a 2007 M1000 Sno Pro and bought it new. I also am running the speedwerx single pipe and it Runs Hard. Lots of mods over the years. Do the pistons if they are not already done. I waited too long on the maintenance on the pistons and cracked a skirt and tore up the bottom end of the motor but it ran like this ( as I was Unawair of the cracked piston skirt) for little over 300 miles, Hard to start when it hits the skirt in revolution on cold mornings. Did remember when the skirt broke as it locked up and I turned over by hand in reverse direction for a couple of revolutions to see what was up. Started the sled after that and saw a flame fly out the exhaust after a couple of seconds(skirt flew out exhaust) ran fine after that and didn't notice till end of season. So the motors are STRONG. Even broken. Sled is heavy but Endless power. Do the tunnel mod or newer tunnel as they work better and lightens it up some.
