The thread on snowandmud has been going for a couple of days and is many pages long.Your input on helping them out may help but.This is a serious matter where they have considered helicoptering them out to welding up a trailer to pull behind the groomer.They are way back stuck in a bowl being fed by sledders with big hearts.They have had sledders taking turn digging apparently they have dug a trail a couple of miles long through forest in hopes of getting them into groomer trailer.There is a way on snowandmud for us that aren't able to help to send funds to maybe traquilize them and then heli out.

Yeah, I read the whole thread tonight. I put up the suggestion. I would think it would work but who knows. Sounds like some experienced folks doing the digging so who knows.

Hey deaner< they have most definetly got some experiance out there hope it all works out and they don't have to put them down.Its a pretty bad situation and I feel for those horses. Sounds like McBride people are a desent bunch.I sure they appreciate your imput though,

I run up there regularly thru the icefields parkway, like Burns said, 5-6 hours, depends on weather and road conditions.

the horses madre the six oclock news in vancouver, i think they have been saved, they dug a 6 foot deep trail the whole way out!

now we're gonna put the owner of the horses in the hillz for 2 months but we are gonna let him dig himself out

He is saying on the news he did all he could to get them out he is under investigation now,if he did all he could how come the first time you hear about it is from two snowmobilers 4 months later. freakin joke!!! the horses are out now and are confiscated by the spca pending investigation .

only reason he is piping up now is that he in the spotlight and wants to look like the good guy. he only came back once in the 2months the horses were in there. (dont know for sure)

Ya so he said can anyone actually confirm this because even at that time he could have had help and everyones job would have been a lot easier. I think he was the only one who knew probably and didn't really care,thankfully the horses are safe.
