It was 35* and raining at Big Springs at 2:30. On top of Two Top it was so foggy you could only see about 50 feet.
If it ever decides to cool off and snow we will have an awesome base but it definitely needs to cool off about 15 - 20* first.

could be worse it was 61 in Reno today and the big storm that was supposed to hit us was mostly rain we are starting winter right were we left off last year =(

When the mountains get these early teasers of snow the switch lately seems to turns off for a few weeks. Hopeful when it turns back on temps will remain cold. But not to cold that it won't snow.

The magma heating things up beneath the earth is the cause .

Sure does suck. 3 weeks ago I had 20" of snow in my yard, 10 days of upper 30's, low 40's and rain has the grass showing again. Looks to stay this way for another week Eric

Ya, its WEIRD right now for sure.
This is the warmest December I can remember in Idaho.

We are just as bad off up in the northern part of the state. Got some early snow and then it warmed up and most of it melted off. Then got some rain and now this week it is supposed to be in the mid to high 40s with rain. This really sucks. Maybe I should get the bike back out.

Ya I am down in Eastern Washington and the Blue Mountains and The Cascades started to get some good snow going and these last few days ( week ) of rain and continued rain and warm temps this week is killing it out there. We are about ready to break the dirt bikes back out for now. It is really depressing with a new sled sitting in the shop. Lets hope this turns around before too long.........
