my stupidity has no age limit. i'm reminded of that almost daily.I don't know man..... at the ages of these fine gents fugging up.... aint that chit supposed to be in the rearview mirror???
You don't do anything and you can't do anything wrong. When you live large and cover lots of ground even a 2% screw up rate is going to make it look like you have a lot of F-Ups. I choose not to hide in my basement and live a safe, quiet life, Life is too short.I don't know man..... at the ages of these fine gents fugging up.... aint that chit supposed to be in the rearview mirror???
Honestly never seen such a rinky dink set-up in all my years. Thought those trailers has one of those ski clamps that you wound down, you know for the guys that can't afford SuperclampsSorry this happened, yet thank you for posting this up! I've got the same spindle/u-bolt setup on my trailer. Same setup.
I'm going to be adding some straps right away. Wow.
That's been my fear since upgrading from my home-made 1x2" steel screw clamp to the fancy superclamp.Double tiedowns on the back that also ripped through when the Superclamps let go. The Superclamps were old so maybe the plastic breaks down over time?? I bought new Superclamps as I don't think it was a normal situation that caused them to fail. I also bought rear Superclamps now but think the sleds would have twisted out from under them too.

They’re plastic coated and very sturdy. Only as good as where your hook is connected though.i know the superclamps are popular but are they just plastic? i never bought any because of that plus they're ridiculously expensive. i've been using wide ratchet straps ever since. front one goes in front of the spindles and the rear one over the just forward of the skid wheels.
DANG!Sorry to hear your news. If it makes you feel better, you are not alone.
I threw 2 sleds off last season. Snapped the Superclamps. Insurance paid $51,000 for the repair to the truck and it was really just side air bags and a bit of body damage. Took 9 months due to parts shortage. Should have been written off. Only one side panel damagesd on one sled.
Gotta OWN it when you SCREW UP!Well Christopher, I give you credit for coming clean. This Forum is a tough bunch, no mercy. It sucks, hopefully they can get it back together soon. Lesson learned.
NOT EVEN A SINGLE FREAKING SCRATCH ON IT!!!!!!!!!did the big screen survive?

HONEST TO GOD.Damn Chris, that SUCKS! How fast did you take the corner. I run a Marlon 7’ sled deck and last year I totally forgot to
YupDamn Chris, that SUCKS! How fast did you take the corner? I run a Marlon 7’ Sled Deck. Last year I totally forgot to put the Superclamp on the skis. I drove 58 miles from the mirror Lake Highway all the way to my home in Cottonwood Heights Utah. Lots and lots of sharp curves and mountain roads. Even drove all the way up and down Parleys Canyon on I-80 and never lost my sled……. Thank Jesus the Lord. That blows me away, that this happened to you.
Its all part of this crazy sport we are addicted to.I agree. It would be entertaining if all these professional advice givers would open up there archives and let us see some of there f-ups. I know I have a few
