My buddies '08 600 RMK had the hood wiring harness come unplugged near the hinge and now it wont idle. He ran it pretty good for 5-10 minutes before he noticed that it was unplugged. Could the lack of resistence from not having the headlights, dash, etc cause him to burn up a voltage regulator or stator? I know that guys running headlight delete kits or without hoods usually add resistors to make up for the change.
Once we finally get it started it seems to run ok, but it is a PITA to start and won't idle for nothing, hot or cold.
Thanks!
