Am I the only IDIOT that could not get the plastic hood wire harness connecter apart without breaking the phoney little clip off that is suposed to keep the two ends from coming apart? And if I am not then has somebody came up with something other than a hand full of zip ties to hold them back together?

I broke mine two hundred miles ago. I just plugged it back in and put the zip ties in my windshield bag for now. So far so good.

Zero miles, putting in the shield and GPS socket. Duct tape was my cure. I was thinking that the plastic sure was a bit brittle. Working in my shop at 50+ this should not have happened.

I'll be amazed if ANYONE unclipped that PITA without breaking it. I did with at 0 miles. Stays together as-is so far though so not too worried.

I was gonna say yes when I first saw your post, but I guess I was wrong :face-icon-small-blu :face-icon-small-sho I do know it is a PITA to get to and see where to press under the fantastically designed hood. I sure wish it was a fold up like ALL the other models made! I just know I'm gonna melt my $80 gloves on the can putting my goggles on the head when I stop to defrost!!

Good old duct tape, repairs anything from the crack of dawn to a broken heart!!
At least I'm not the only one. Thanks for all the input

Broke off at 0 miles...actually better broken off...lmao...zip tied...:face-icon-small-coo
