Hood Area Ridin

Got into sledding this year and have one buddy that i go with. Looking for mor people to ride with in the area. Not really so much into trail riding! looking for other like minded indiviuals to shred with. Looking for a little bit of local sled knowledge perhaps. Have been going riding highway 44 and always get skunked tryin to get to mt. lookout and settle for high prairie. gettin over that though. any recomendations

My first season also. Try Mt Adams. Snowking or Pineside snowparks area good spot to get up on Mt Adams. Better mtn riding than Hood.
If you want less mountainous terrain (say on a avy danger day) try Flat top snowpark just past Trout Lake (also near Mt Adams).

there is some good rideing on hood but if you want to ride something that is a bit not trail then you need to go up out of esdacada and ride the back side of the mountain.........MT Adams and ST Helens is a good weekend spot.....we are headed for McCALL ID......if anyone is intrested.......
