Honda 450rx starting problems?

2017 450 RX with a high compression piston has starting problems. New large capacity battery but it won’t consistently start the motor. Has anyone had problems with the RX starter. Do you think that the high compression piston might be to much for the stock starter? Also getting fuel in the oil with the Votex pr2. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What's the temps, does it stay out all night? Do you tend the battery? What weight oil ? Is it a problem during the ride ?

When your starting it after a cold night you need to hit the starter button for one second and release it. Wait like 30 seconds and do it again. Do this a couple times and it will build up more heat in the battery. My 450rx wont start unless I warm the battery up by doing that quick press of the starter. Same with other bikes. 0W oil will help also. Hope this helps!

probably that POS pr2.... we got several guys here whos bike wont start with the pr2, mine included. throw the stock ecm on and it fires up in half of a revolution.

try it for the hell of it... plug the stock ECM back in and watch it instantly fire up.

I KNEW for a fact when I read this thread title that you probably had a pr2 on your bike... read your post and there it is.. pr2 listed in your mod list.
