Some of you may have read about my wife and I. July 24th a scumbag broke in our house at 3am, woke us up in bed with a gun in one hand and a baseball bat in other hand, a knife in his pocket and a backpack with ducktape, zipties toilet papers and nylon rope. Scumbag left the house on a gurney with no handcuffs.
Next stop was major trauma hospital for serious head injuries reseived from the bat my wife took away from him and beat him with until he complied to my command, "stop moving". Took 50 swings before he figured out that the bat stopped moving when he stopped moving. We had no weapons in the house and were both naked and deep sleeping. If you have watched CSI and look at the blood spatter on the wall and ceiling and the big circle on the rug, and broken furniture that is what the room looked like and it was all his.
Now he is in jail and has pleaded guilty to all charges but the court can not send him to prison yet because he has tramatic brain injury. My wife knocked him back to the 3rd grade.
Buddy gave us a gun with a built in laser and showed me how to point and pull the trigger, thought I was safe.
Went to the gun range, even with pointing the gun with a laser and pulling the trigger i was a bad shot.
Went to a home protection course at our church and found out i was stupid
Went to FRONT SIGHT for a 4 day defensive handgun course and found out that because the gun had a modified it malfunctioned 20% of the time.
Got 4 days of police and military level training with out having to do pushups or go to iraq. Bought 2 life time memberships and go back anytime and take any of there courses for free{ goto frontsight.com and you can see all the courses and the cost of each one}
Fixed the gun, bought 2 life time memberships to FRONT SIGHT and knew I was stupid but atleast had the building blooks to learn how defend myself with a gun
Just like a snowmobile, anyone can turn the key flip the kill switch, pull the rope and empty a tank of gas. What is that person who has ridin 3 years of trail riding going to do when he or she{wife child friend} has to side hill above a cliff, find someone in a avalanche, basic first aid or spend the night in the woods.
We got lucky july 24th, It was like being buried in a avalanche with no help or equipment to get free. I was able to claw my way out.
