I got one of these timers for the fan in my bathroom. After wiring it up the fan does not run as fast as it was. Any ideas?
Is this not designed to use with a fan?

It shows that it is 500 watts/120 volts. So the switch is good for 4.16 amps. If you fan is pulling more amps that might be your problem. Check your neutral (white) wire conection.

if it starts out really slow and and then eventually goes its not rated for a fan.. Fans pull alot more juice than any kind of light on start up.and thoughout. This one says its rated for lights. Take it back to home chepo and go to an electrical supplier and get something rated for a fan there is plenty of options
