Holz suspension question

I have an 08 d-8 with the older style holz rear suspension. Since I put it on it seems like I have to much ski pressure and it trenchs out really bad. I have the limiter strap all of the way out any other help with my setup will really be appreciated.

I have the same with floats, and mine doesnt trench hardly at all..several things can affect it..is it set up as holz suggest? frt limiter set at 5.5-6.5 inches? what are you running for spring pressures?I run mine with the frt shock real soft and the rear pretty stiff, clutching will also affect trenching, stock clutching trenches pretty bad.....

Pull your limiter straps back in tight, that's why you're trenching. Our install instructions specify a certain strap setting:
-Elevate the rear of the sled off the ground (so no weight on the suspension)
-Measure distance between forward bumpstop on rail and front arm. You need 5.5-6" between those two points, tighten straps accordingly.
Doing this will compress the center shock slightly so you will have to reset your spring preload afterward. Make sure to have as little spring preload as possible (just enough to keep the spring from falling off is good) Most people adjust it too tight and then wonder why they keep breaking shocks or torque arms because the coils will bind. You have about 1/2" safe spring compression for adjustment.
