HOLY CRAP...check out this model rocket launch!

I watched most of the launches of the real thing from the beach in Florida back in the late 60's and early 70's

My dad was a designer on the Saturn V booster.

Cocoa Beach was home back then.

There are groups all over the US of model rocketeers.
Remember growing up you could fly rockets with D motors?
Well, now they have S and T motors.
I flew high power high altitude rockets for about 8 years till I bought a house and discovered I was broke.

Best I ever did was 2300 feet at mach 2.3.

wow! Model rockets have come aways since I was into it as a kid. Largest was one with a D engine.

2.3 and 2300'? That's pretty cool Ollie:beer; Remember the the ones you could put a payload in? We sent up a mouse once:D

I Launched an egg once. DOn't know if it blem apart on launch or when it slammed nose first into the ground after I loaded the shute wrong.

Biggest one I ever fley was a 2 stage multi engine, 6' long and 6" diameter.
Used 3 J-350's to launch it, seperated and then fired 3 I-300's.
Flew great. Cost 300 dollars to launch it once, but it looked cool as chit.

Haven't flown in about 10 years.
Still have all the stuff, just changed my priorities as far as spending money goes.
