So I was taking a gander at the 2010 accessories and found in the Summit section the vented side panel kit. It was $450. So I got to wondering how much a normal side panel is??? $100. So with my simple math skills I came up with a $250 premium to get fancy honeycomb shaped vent in the side panels!!

I hate to sound cheap but Holy #@$^%$$#.

Of course the catalog doest have any detail on what is in the kit so I may be jumping to conclusions.

I would say its better than the 5-600 you pay for a screen kit, not to mention the "labor" to install them. I guess it really depends on how effective they are. Hopefully Ski-doo does a better job with clutching for 2010, and we wont have to worry about screens at all.

$30 bucks and enough material to completely do 2 sleds, hoods and side panels.
Home Depot pet proof screen and black 3M Super Weather Strip Adhesive

Good Luck

Only one problem, the snow will bunch up on the hood where the step up is from the screen to plastic...

Looks good though.

DITTO. LRD has a real nice system.

So I saw the $5-600 that isistwinteryet said a vent kit cost and I thought "Can that be right?" I never bought a vent kit so I was astounded to find how much a complete kit cost!!!! I had no idea, no wonder so many people are getting in on selling them. They may work well but a lot of them look like a complete afterthought.

Now I would like to see the side panels in person and get an idea if they will get the job done, I dig the honeycomb look they have.

Those side panels look good...but they are seriously out of line on the pricing. If they would price them at $300 they would blow them out. Apparently they don't care about selling too many.

They figure that most people are getting the dealership to install vents, acc, etc during the purchase of the sled. You'd pay that in labour alone at some shops.

That's their reasoning. I sell more over the counter than we do installing during purchase. We do a quite a few in shop but it's kinda 6 of one, and half dozen of the other. We'll see but I find it kinda meaningless right now. Looks cool though.
