correct me if i am wrong but all the people who you mentioned are fictional characters and the people who are behind this cyber attack are real and driven only made more scary by the fact that they seem to have above average intelligence.

The United States of America has been threatened by dictators, terrorists and third world countries for decades. Why should we as a collective people cave into these threats now??

It is rather sad that this has even become news worthy.

"We" didn't cave. A Japanese owned company caved, we're just the ones having to hear about it and missing out on a movie that's probably better for BlueRay than the theater anyway.
Not that it matters much... any company working in these United States, employing American citizens, etc. should be protected, to some degree at least.

I'm much more concerned about the ramifications if we don't respond properly to this type of threat. For the purpose of SONY, I could give a rats ***... but when it comes to the main point of this type of an attack and the larger potential an attack like this could wreck in other areas/industries/services/etc., this was just dipping a toe in the water to see what happens, imo. We need to consider this as damn near an act of WAR, as it has apparently been proven to be N.Korean Govt. sponsored.

Look deeper. Sony only pulled it after no theaters would run the flick. So YES, "WE" caved. Maybe not you and I individually, but the companies that are comprised of US citizens made the decision to not show the film.

I do agree with you regarding the scenario that could be played out in regards to this whole mess. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

huh... I thought only 5 theaters had bowed out of a premier before Sony backed down.

Even the POTUS said in his news conf. yesterday that he thinks SONY backed down too quick. Said we will be responding accordingly (we'll see how that goes down) and apparently there's proof that N.Korea was directly behind the hacks.

That basically means another country attacked a company that employs Americans and produces content on American soil. That's got to be close to an act of war, right?

OK, so now Seth Rogen chimes in on a true war movie after all of the bull sh!t that came out about his sorry azz movie, The Interview? I watched The Interview. It sucked! Haven't seen American Sniper for myself yet but talked to some who did. Awesome movie! 90 mil at the box office this week! Hollywood is FU@KED UP and Seth Rogan is a hypocrite!
