Holes in belly pan

I am new to my Pro and Poo, and when I was working on it last night I noticed right infront of the A arms in the belly pan on each side are these big holes, big enough for me to almost get my hand in, are they supposed to be there? And doesnt alot of snow come through these things?:face-icon-small-con I'm confused I didnt think you wanted any holes in your belly pan to let snow in? Thanks for the help!!

Have not blocked holes and have not had any trouble with snow. I believe the holes are there to promote air flow through the hood. If you block them under hood temp will most likely rise unless other vents are added.

I'm wondering if mountainhorse could shed some light on the why behind these holes and their function. I'm sure Poo would have sealed them up if not part of the system.

Maybe they're left over from the Rush that needs an air outlet for the front heat exchanger.

was in some very fluffy stuff without much base and had no issues today. I would say save the money and weight and keep the air flow.

I taped the Rush exchanger holes in the cast bulkhead with foil tape, keep'in some debris out, i.e., needles. Then left the plastic gaps wide open. Never had a snow or ice issue under the pipe, front or rear of the the bulkhead last year. Gotta be letting some serious cold air in through there, FWIW.
