Holding it together!

None of the plastics on my sled fit right anymore. I put my sled through some abuse I guess. The hood keeps popping out of the front clip (which causes a ton of under hood snow if I don't see it right away) and my side panels are a HUGE pain in the arse to get my quarter turn clips to lock in (seems light nothing lines up right anymore). I think my front bumper is a little out of shape causing panel alignment issues but I don't want to have to buy a new bumper every time I knock it out of place a little. Anybody come up with some creative hold downs to keep all their plastic fitting nice and tight? I was thinking about getting some old school style rubber hold downs and figuring out the best places to mount them to hold it all together. Would love to see what's working for other people.

Had the same problem last season on my 12 Pro RMK. My stock bumper was out of alignment. I just junked the polaris front bumper and purchased a Skinz bumper. Everything pretty much secured like before i had the problems.

Seems like there is alot of that with the side pannels and hood. Everything will fit but all the stock latches are off just a bit. you can use the aftermarket hood tie downs and it seems to keep everything in place.

Or like FUGAWEE said start with a new bumper and see how things go back together.

You really have to get to know how the Pro's fasten. When you close your side panel, make sure the lower front part is fastening into the plastic on the sled (side panel into the body panel). If not, it doesn't fasten well. Also make sure the rear plastic tabs on the panels are going in at the knee location or the Dzus fastener won't work as well. If you bought an extra set of panels and they come in a box, they are very flat and need some time to curve to the body (mine did anyway). Don't be afraid to push into the body when turning the Dzus fasteners.
