Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 12:26 PM MDT on August 12, 2010

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to
noon MDT Friday...

The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory above 7000 feet for snow accumulation... which is
in effect from midnight tonight to noon MDT Friday.

* Impacts/timing: snow late this evening through Saturday
morning.

* Snow accumulations: up to 3 inches above 7000 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Those planning to
adventure into the back country should be prepared for unseasonably
cold weather and snowfall.

That sucks!!! I don't have a sled to ride. Just my luck I sold it last week and now it's snowing. They better ship the new Poo's soon.

I got the same warning on the work computer.

Wife is worried about her flowers.

She got a little upset when I reminded her that last weeks one hour hail storm took care of that problem.

I say, BRING IT ON!!!

Well I could see the peaks a little bit ago and there isn't any snow on the Bitterroots this morning that I could see and they are up around 9500.

I wonder how my dad and younger sister are doing. They are on the annual week long backpacking trip up way the heck back in there above cook city. Might be a bit chilly on the hike out!
