I purchased there backcountry pack about 2 years ago and last week a small loop that holds my water bladder ripped. I contacted them and sent them a photo of the tear and they said that they will fully replace my backpack even though it isnt under warrenty. They always returned my email the next day and took the time to make sure that my problem was resolved. Kudos to HMK and keep up the good work.

Does anybody else have any good or bad stories about relations with a company?
 
i sent my boots in on warranty and they got there ( confirmed through tracking number) but about 2 weeks later they hadnt contacted me so i called and they didnt even know where the boots i sent in were. they didnt even know they had them so they just sent me another pair. took about a week and a half too long to get here and the new ones arent holding up to hot either after only 6 rides. im impressed they sent me a new pair even though they werent even sure if they had recieved my old ones but it never should have happened. it took too long and the product is still not so good. that being said they are very good boots in all aspects but durability. may go klim next time
 
I don't know if I would count on Klim to be any better, had a pair of gloves this year only rode them once and the skirt started to disintegrate for no apparent reason, sent them back under warranty, they sent them back to me, sorry, we don't know what is wrong but we don't think it's warranty. I used to wear Klim from helmet down except for HMK boots, will be looking for a better alternative as this stuff wears out because their customer service/warranty treatment was so bad.
 
I have dealt with HMK for years, and always had top notch service with them. With my sponsorship I got all new HMK product (boots, pants, coat, pack, shovel and gloves) this year and have nothing but excellent things to say. Thanks Kirk and the rest at HMK!!
 
Kirk has always been top notch. I've worn his boots for 6 years now. Had a leaky pair the first time. He didn't even want them back to check and make sure I was telling the right story, he just went me a new pair.

Got their Action coat this year and am super impressed with everything about that coat. :beer;

He is a great supporter in our sport and always has a smile on his face. Gotta love that. :)
 
Cannot say enough good about Kirk and the gang. Stand up people. They are a small company though and trying to please everyone is a hard thing to do but they pull through more times than not.

As far as the boots go.....they aren't "Waterproof" but they do keep your fet warm. Wearing the right socks helps too.
 
Kirk is a stand up guy, and I personally know from behind the scenes chats and visuals that quality of product and the happiness of his customers come first... The guy has given away a ton of gear personally out his own pocket to make things right for people, and in a tough industry that goes a long way in my book.
 
I myself have had the best customer service from HMK. Kirk is an outstanding person to deal with and communicates and product related issues with orders, with you. Not only does he provide outstanding service with his own products he was able to help me locate beacons from a dealer and give solid recommendation about the beacons that I purchased. I am a customer of HMK and very happy to have Kirk there to provide service.
