Hm Turbo in Revy

From what I gather they never showed up. Instead they chose to go ride somewhere west of Revy. Last year wasnt much better.

They tested in Revy all week......Currently putting maps together catered more to us Canadians.

I was in Revy all week and never seen them make it out of the Parking lot, the vipec guy was up at the cabin with his 121" pro doing some high elevation testing? I asked him where the LM turbo guys were and he said they were parked right beside him. I looked beside him with a Puzzled look as their was nobody beside him and he said they were having some issues with the 14's and were down in the parking lot. Then they never even showed up on the saterday. Apparently they went to Blue Lake and never bothered to tell anyone!? Thumbs down to LOW MARK Turbos I travelled 8hrs for this event how unprofessional!

That sucks! Did you see any vipec cats up there? My dealer was supposed to be up there with a couple vipec cats wonder how they worked?

HM doesn't stand for High Mark.

Stands for Hart's Motorsports.

Scott, have you rode one of Shane's turbo's? I have heard nothing but good. Very suprised to read he would be having problems. Everyone I have talked to said they run flawless and he has the Vipec down pat. Good enough it would be tough to make them any better.

Sounds like there doing some R&D, that's what these people do, kits don't get better every year by them selfs

This is true , but when you say you are having a demo day for people to come test your product , you should show up with your product that you are selling now and keep the R & D stuff for another time/ day , but as it stands now , people think that there product does not run.

Maybe someone from HM should come on here a say something before things get out of hand?

My friend was there with them from thursday to saturday and yes correct they were tuning all week. The sleds were running mechanical boost and dialed in well last year, the tuning is for the switch to EBC I believe they got a bit behind with the short days etc. I am not sure why they went to Blue Lake, and I would be upset if I drove that far as well (I would have but I was in the Yukon.) I do know I am patiently awaiting my new map, hopefully see some results from the testing ;)

Thought your sled was running great, you just waiting for a new map in case there is some kind of improvement.

My sled is running great! But yes I wouldn't complain about updates and improvements.

I did find some room for improvement during some laptop runs this week, the EBC needs to be dialed in better, the guys running higher boost need and noticed this more than I do. Boost is controlled mechanically till 5psi, then EBC takes over, (I was only running 6.5psi.) The 1.5psi ebc is supposed to control isn't as consistent as it should be, the mapping update will fix this. Until the update I will be running mechanical boost (now moving it up to 8psi.)

Then I will switch back to EBC and 8psi and let you know how it goes.

Also I believe we will be hooking up wideband afr sensor/gauges to the vipec and running closed loop injection.(currently open loop obviously)

So cool to be able to throw the laptop in the backpack and have soo much info right there, logged and ready for analysis. Instantly able to see where the trouble is.

This is the #1 reason holding me back from the Vipec. I went thru enough of the laptop crap with the RB3 on the Apex.
Give me something that tunes automatically or is easily tuneable on the hill.

I could see that being annoying if you were building your own map and trying to tune. But as a customer who received a map and soon to have ebc and open loop there is little to no tuning required. I have only ever logged using the software, and the logging is truly great, all parameters logged and comparable on one screen. In theory I don't think there is a better way to achieve a better running modded machine (not saying mine is running better than anything else out there.)

Yep, no better way to tune a modded sled than to be stuck at the parking lot.
Must be the short days for sure.

Guys, i personaly ride an Hm turbos on my pro for the last 2 years and it is a pull the rope and go setup if you want to run 8-9 psi...mapping is spot on . Shane is always trying to make things better, like any real professional would do, as we do also. When laptop is with us it is because we are working on something, not because we have to fix something. When we ride with buddies, we carry nothing but ourselves....Revy this last week was testing new stuff for elevation compensation as we always trying to do things better and you will soon see the results of this testing incorporated in our new firmware release :sly:
