Hitting Ears Friday and Saturday (Dec 28/29)

Check out this bumper story. The day I rode with my buddy Craig and his new 800 Dragon was funny for me! He kept wondering how strong everything was on the XP. "That won't hold up, that looks weak"......etc. Low and behold he's stuck first. We try to lift it like men. No luck. We slap on my Highlift Jack and promptly bend the "shizzen" out of the rear bumper of his Dragon. Pulled up to a 90 degree angle before he said STOP:eek: My XP has had the Jack taken to 'er 8 or 9 times. Know what? The bumper is just fine;) Now then, about that S-module thingy............You boys have a good one for me. I'll be ready to tow Paul out(I didn't just type that, did I:cool:) in a week or two. I'm giving the "thumb" a fighting chance at healing itself before the next handlebar tour:beer;

I've been very apprehensive about that since I ripped my edge tunnel. I used my jack on the new dragon once last saturday and that thought definitely went through my mind. That sucks, IIRC that is the whole bulkhead on the new sleds.

Live from Muddy Creek!

Via verizon broadband! Ain't techcornolgy great:)

Light snow and 3 degrees. Snowing on Cameron on the way over too (Agnes bowl for the twig pigs only...someday though eh Ike!). Only 3 feet at muddy and right to the dirt fluff, but the banks are pushed up about 10 feet.

Come up sunday Duke (master cam man?).

Two schools of though on building/breaking in a motor Jon....yours and mine. lol We need to get that flatlander skid off that thing and get ya something that doesn't result in your legs flailing in the air behind you, halfway up the hill. Ok, it looks cool on tape, i'll give ya that.

Ike, your rambling on paranoiacaly again; I love your sled! that may be my next ride....as soon as they go EFI and put in a zuki. I can't wait for our next ride. My Jaw's dealer can hook ya up if ya think you'll need a little extra umph. It'll cook a mean dog if nothing else. Maybe the day after we ride:eek: J/K man, just hope I don't have to sit at the top and root you on....time after time after time like with the 06:o I will take you up on the tow though:D

I'm gonna go unload right now and take a spin. Fawk the neighbors:p

excellent - should be some real good ridin tomorrow and Saturday.

Now I am getting worried about mounting the new jack I just got to my BFN sled....

nah - can't ask you fellers to help me unstick the pig too many times - I'll run out of peeps who will ride with me :)

Jon - drive safe - keep an eye on the weather - NE Colo is supposed to get hit pretty good late tonight / early tomorrow and this time you have no Duramax security Blanket. LOL

(Agnes bowl for the twig pigs only...someday though eh Ike!). :p

My maps say this are is not off limits.

Which I think is BS cause it is State Forest, BTW Get a wintertime rec map at the moose visitor center in Gould and look at all the trails that are off limits to snowmobiles ONLY, but not to skiers, not to mountain bikers not to four wheelers and not to motorcycles. The only vehicle that cant use the roads and trails that are marked with color purple are snowmobiles.

I was told this by the ex-ranger at the visitors center that this was for the skiers. So trails like Ruby-Jewel is out for snowmobiles. WTF, this is Colorado State Forest, not a F%#*in Wilderness...Everything but a snowmobile. Now I aint sure if thats just the trail or the whole area...but.

Anyone know any more about this cause my Trails Unlimited say you can Go up these roads..

Check it out......

Can someone tell me is this just the trail or the whole are like the ex-range stated.

Lol Jeffro, I don't think a fork lift would hurt that tunnel! What, it's about 16" deep 1/4" plate. Def. crack the hold the trench has on the track before jacking and you should be fine.

Of course I got wood....1/4 cord or so. lol

I agree Punk, let's go ride all that $hit! Don't get me started! Can't ride Agnes route (not on your map there?), sign on the bridge there. I dunno maybe it's changed, but I doubt it. Once it's gone, it's gone for good. I think bilers can use a few of the cabins/yurts but you have to park down the trail a ways. We're just not loved enough by all them professors running that place! I hear Kelly lake route is a pretty knarly ride with towering death all around; lets go do that sometime:D

For sure dawg, I've heard that that gets hammered all the time and Hidden Valley just above Kelly Lake valley is DEEP DEEP in fact the ex-ranger warned me on how deep it gets back there!!!:D Plus that can lead up and around into R-J bowl. I been up in there (R-J) late fall on foot and I know that would be a fun place to play!!!!!!

Where Do I Need To Meet You Guys At?? And How Do I Get There I Live On The Bottom Of Rabbit Ears Pass. At The Timbers Condominiums. Ill Be There Saturday.

Muddy Creek Lot. Head East on Hwy 40 to the East Summit. There is a left hand turn, take it. There are only 2 OPEN left hand turns, take the second one.

That is the MC lot, there is an outhouse in the northeast corner. You can't miss it!

We'll be up Sat morning - white crew cab / longbed duramax with a 4 place enclosed - 2 blue Nytro's and a turbo Phazer.

What time you hitting it in the morning? I gotta reclutch Friday night, but I'll be ready! My goal is no stucks!

I'm going there with you two. I don't wanna miss out on a little "Bootlegging":D

Just like "them Duke boys" eh. I still haven't rode all the legal stuff yet. Like to hit Jack Park sometime too.

Light snow and 10 degrees here in MC. Looks like the storm went south cuz it ain't doin much here yet. Looks like more pow might have been too much pow anyway. Starts getting over 3 feet and things start to heat up. Pretty full lot today, celebs and the like. Burandt wanted to ride but he didn't have enough cash on him so.....lol Pretty sure I saw him on a dragon cruising the lot:eek:

Been out in the meadow puzzling over the BD box. Think my clutching is off too, could be the squish is a little too healthy (10 over spec:rolleyes:), and can't get the R's i'm shooting for. Hits 8000, then drops to 7700? Ah well, this top end is for sale in a few weeks anyway; just needs to last a few rides.

Give a honk and wake me up Jeff:p

Bushmaster, I will be up there in the morning around 9 a.m. at the latest. I am driving a Red Dodge Ram 1500 with flames on the side. A snowmobile will be in the back.

Ok, i'll keep an eye out for you.

Dang, it's 19 below already. Never campered in this cold of weather.
