Ya, that was a tough one to take. What makes it even worse is, I saw the same thing happen twice inside 24 hours. The high school team I coach did the same thing the night before. We drove the field, up by 5 with 2 min left, got to the 20, turned the ball over with 33 seconds left. They got to our 40 with 1 sec on the clock. Boom, young safety let a guy behind him and it was over. Talk about a heartbreaker, especially when you are 0-2.
The only good thing is at least I could tell my kids that even D-1 players can make a mistake like that.
