Hit and Run at the Puyallup Snow Show Orange Gate

While my wife and I were doing volunteer work for WSSA on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we noticed significant damage to my wife's 2003 black Acura TL-S on Saturday at 6pm. Someone had damaged the driver's and driver's passenger doors with what appears to be a white vehicle, most likely a truck or trailer as the damage left white marks that were just below the driver's door handle. The estimate to repair is $1200.00. We have comprehensive and collision insurance, however our deductible for this will be $300.

A police report was required by our insurance company.

Anyone having seen or heard anything related to this incident on Saturday outside the Orange gate please contact the Puyallup Police department at 253-841-5415 or feel free to pm me.

Thanks,
Ken

This is the second hit & run I've heard about at the show. Some people:face-icon-small-dis

whats wrong with people.
i had a door ding on my wife's suburban when we got back to it on saturday...

some people are just worthless....

there was at least 2

i parked next to a large 4 place trailer in the orange lot sunday and came back to find that the guy had tailwhipped his trailer right down the side of my car. no full coverage here. fortunately it was my old beater.
this was also a hit and run.

mtnsledder. I am sorry to hear that. Really sucks that you are working at the show and that happened.

SledheadBKM, that really sucks too!

My wife's car has been hit three times even though she parks defensively. Once on each bumper (which was scraped) and another on the door. There is a guy in Yakima that fixed the bumpers like new for under $100. The dent in the door was fixed by another guy (as long as the paint is still okay) for well under $100. I'm sure there are people on the west side that can do the same. It's so much less of a hassle than going through your insurance company.

Thanks for the info, but this is not really a "door ding" but a pretty large dent, about 9" long x 6" high x 1" deep with gouges down to the bare metal and white paint streaks.

The car is at the body shop today, will take 3-4 days to repair and paint.

According to my wife this had to have happened between noon and 6 pm Saturday as she said she went to the car at noon to get some paperwork and it was fine at that time.

If anyone saw or heard anything I would appreciate a pm.

Thanks,
Ken
