They are updating their website, and they have screwed it up. Spirit is there:

Telemark is in a goofy location, and IOWA it TBA it looks like.
I emailed wally to get the scoop but I havn't heard anything back yet.

i checked it out, on there calender they have spirit marked and if you click on the blue line at the bottom where it says wsa hillx, they have the schedule.
I heard the TBA was supposed to be Sioux Falls, but it's probably not going to happen. Earlier today it said Brainerd was the 15-16th, but now it's back to 21st-22nd like it was before- that's Fri and Sat on Easter weekend and the old site said starting at 4PM each day.
rumor has it the Iowas ski hill is closed.
I'd race snowcross but I'm not driving that far!

Feb 23-24 STILL TBA
Mar 1-2 Telemark, WI
Mar 8-9 hill city, MN
Mar 21-22 Ski Gull, MN *** Racing starts 4PM Friday, there will be lights. Event finishes Saturday around 4PM
Mar 29-30 Portage, WI
Apr 5-6 Giants Ridge, MN
Apr 12-13 Spirit Mt, MN

so when exactly will they know where the race is at on the 23-24 this month??? only about two weeks away!!!
i called wally today and he said he was 95% sure that the feb. 23-24 race would be cancelled. iowa is closed. he told me that he has 3 new ski hills that want to have races but they all want a race towards the end of march and beginning of april. which works great for me, looks like the new 800 will be ready to rock for the first race.
Thanks for the scoop Kory! End of march-beginning of april is all booked up already heh. It is 4 weekends in a row of hillcross already.

Hill City may not happen either. They are not taking room reservations because a deal hasn't been inked yet. The ice race that was supposed to be there this weekend has been canceled, so we can probably expect the same for hill-x. It sure would be nice to have a firm schedule more than a week or two in advance some year.
I gave Wally a call...he said that all of the races listed are locked in - with the exception of Hill City. SOunds like they rented out their snow guns to WPSA and expect them back in time to make enough snow for the track. Iowa is no longer a race - went out of business.

I first of all want to announce my retirement from racing and women. Second, I just got out of surgery (and the closet) and heard that Hill City is canceled.

I also heard that Hill City is not a for sure race site yet too. Telemark is also a double header (like I gave last night) now.

I am still recovering from a nasty crash on the 9th, and I still have some fixing to do on the sled. Not sure if I'm gonna make the Telemark race but plan to make most of the rest as of now.
