Just wondering how steep the hill really is, hard to tell from photo's, is it greater then 40 degree slope? What is the lenght of the climb and do a lot of mountain sleds say 155 and longer show up? Would be running a 155 rmk 700stock and may also have a 153 m8 turbo to run.
Thanks darren

Darren,

I think you will have no problem with your sleds. They do run different classes of sleds and people bring 600cc sleds with only a 128" set-up (pretty much a sno-pro or freestly sled)

The slope from the very base to halfway up the hill is 45+ degree. Up the next half more vertical around 60+ and then smooths out towards the top.

The Hill climb is also a coursed out like an "Z" type course and not just a straight run up the hill. There are some Video's on youtube.com and exconfreeride.com and it really gives you an idea on how hard it is.

If you bring a stock sled I would take the hood off......or find one you don't want to destroy and toss it on. About half of the sleds come rolling down and I think some of the videos show it.

Got an email saying the Hillclimb is a go for this saturday, sweet! I'm excited to see some CARNAGE!

Copper Peak Snowmobile Hillcliimb is this Saturday!

While Mother Nature tried to prevent snowmobilers from competing at one of the most extreme Snowmobile Hillclimbs in the Midwest, Father Winter said, 'let it happen!'

The Copper Peak Ski Flying Inc. Board of Directors and the MASTERS Circuit met this morning and decided to run the Hillclimb this Saturday. The event was scheduled to run last Saturday, but warm temps and lack of snow on the hill forced the event to be postponed.

"While the hill does not have the snow that we had a couple weeks ago before the warm weather, we will not lose anymore snow," stated Copper Peak Snowmobile Hillclimb founder, Skip Schulz. Schulz stated that last years Selkey Manufacturing Pro Mod King of the Hill winner, Matt Tingstad was walking on the hill this morning to check on snow conditions.
