Hill climbing with transfer straps on MM700

Does any one know the best set-up for climbing with transfer straps? Currently my transfer straps are just tight or snug with no weight on sled and front strap has about 20mm of thread showing before it is bottomed out.
It seemed to climb better with the stock transfer rods.

I am going to assume this is a 2000 or newer MM.
Get yourself a set of adjustable transfer rods or build some adjustable transfer stops for the rear scissor. Let your front limiters out all the way so you can take advantage of your front travel. Your approach angle will still be shallow enough to get up on the snow just fine. Also it will help give the front of the sled a lighter feel at low speeds and you will soak up bumps when you are climbing that might otherwise thow you off course when running the front limiters tight with little travel.
You will also find that by running tranfer rods or coupling the rear in some other way you will be able to run your track looser. The way the proaction rear skid works it will lose track tension as the rear compresses if your not running the transfer rods. Thats why you see all these geniuses with transfer enhancement kits "no transfer rods" having to add anti-rachet drivers to keep the track from ratcheting.
