Whatcom County Snowmobile Club is doing a ride from above Diablo lake to Winthrup, and back, this saturday 10 am come one come all family to singles meeting at the gate where the road closes above diablo lake and the dam.

Sounds like that could be a fun ride. I know the NW Glacier Cruisers have a ride planned in January doing the North Cross as well. Anyone been up there?
I know the avy danger is pretty high right now and some of that area is prone to slide. Be carefull and have fun!

So, how do you get from the gate before mazama to winthrop????
Load 'em up on the deck and drive them into town.....Mazama to Winthrop ain't gonna happen legally many other ways.....too many skinny skiers locking up the land in the Mazama area and not allowing sleds to cross their land......
So where were you guys we came from the East side.. It was a killer day on the hwy 20. If you stopped you got stuck. Had to keep her to the wood...
Powder to the max
The riding was great on saturday, so much deep powder, not many dared to go play off of the road, and getin stuck was easyer than not getting stuk,I was told that if you want to get into winthrup, you can ride in the ditch and not get a ticket, thats what the guys did last year, we only rode to the slide and stopped this year. It was good fun!
