Highmarking over a stuck guy

...but of course you have to take a couple of Norwegians as example-they are well known by us in Sweden to be "the silly neighbor"...:face-icon-small-hap

(Sorry all Norwegians, but that was like shooting sitting ducks!)

haha, think we can say it goes both ways across the border..

watching the first vid...no way was there enough of a slide to give the indication of the guy being buried...the snow hardly wasn;t going over the sled skis..i think the guy with the helmet cam stuck his head in the snow like an ostrich and the whole thing is a put on..but nonetheless the opinions expressed on the unwise decision to go above a person stuck is valid

I think theres enough to look pretty scary when your looking at that come down at you. But it was pretty light and fluffy so im sure nothing too bad happened...minus the sled prolly being buried.

if anyone EVER marks over me, or my wife, close friends ect... YOU ARE DONE RIDING WITH ME FOREVER!!! RIGHT THEN AND THERE. there will be an immediate face to face meeting and i will call a spade a spade, we are done.

X2^^^ right there. Handed out every cuss word in my book to some fool that blasted over me at Indian Creek 2 years ago. Had a buddy that came up even with me to help dig out and some JACKAZZ from another group comes by and decides to blast by 10 yds away and turn out about 100 yds above us. Probably looked like an idiot clawing through snow to get him stopped, by I know I made him feel like a whooped puppy dog after about a 3 minute straight up Level 10 butt chewin. Started and finished my rant by telling him he better never come around me again, and doesn't have any business in the mountains if he is going to jeopardize other peoples lives like that. Just lucky it was Jackson hillclimb weekend and I didn't feel like going to jail for trying to beat down, or else it would have been on like donkey kong.

NOBODY should tolerate a rider, friend or not, that puts your life or anyone elses life in danger. Know the conditions, know what to avoid, help keep friends, family, and fellow riders ALIVE! Thanks :face-icon-small-coo

Definitely something that needs to be taught to ever rider, new and old. I see it quite often and have had to educate a few folks and what the correct safety guideline are. Always good to teach first, then chew some arse later...

I know of two incidents of highmarking above someone that turned UGLY !! The times I'm speeking of triggered slides. One fatal and one not. The survivor of one of these incidents is a gentelman that we ride with once a year. He has some very good stories to tell and is a very good rider. I would say this "If you highmark above me or anyone in my riding group, you'd better hide or change sleds, because when catch back up to you in won't be pretty !!! >>>>.

That is pretty crazy. Looking at the slope in the video, I didn't think it would slide. Of course video can be deceiving.

Edit... the first part of the video you can see the hill, when he looks up it looks flatter.
