Sleds idling at about 2200. Is this normal? If not, how do you adjust it down. Thanks!

Aaron

2200 Rpm doesnt sound too high...it would depend on what rpm your primary engages...if you were idling around 3000 then i would say it could b a problem, especially if your primary engages around that rpm. i think some guys here like idling around 1800 rpm, but thats just personal preference

Aaron, if your sled is idling high, it could be lean due to a leaky crank seal, intake boot or similar. My m-6 runs at 2200 when I droop the fuel pressure from 40 to 35 psi. I have a fuel regulator to play with as it is a turbo.

Look for any reason the fuel is cut back or the air is increased.

most likely its the cable in the throttle block on the handle bars, I have knocked mine out a few times and that exactly what it did. Just disconnect the cable from the inside of the throttle and let it slack out and then see if it still idles high. where the cable goes into the throttle block it has to clip in all the way and it can be a 8itch sometimes. It happens more when you have a tall riser as well.
