high end bog

Problem seems to be fixed...just thought I'd report my findings.

I had a high end bog that only really occurred at WOT. After doing some research on the site, I found that it was likely related to the VES.

I checked my bellows; no problem there. I disconnected the solenoid and plugged the VES ports and this appears to have solved the problem.

So it appears that there is a problem with my solenoid not closing that was preventing the VES from building pressure and opening.

I'm not sure that I'll replace the solenoid as (according posts on this site) it appears to be emissions related and acts as an on/off switch (based on TPS/RPM settings according to the manual) for the valves rather than allowing them to function solely based on individual cylinder pressure that the engine builds.

Gonna start another thread related to my lights, mfd, warmers etc... as these quite on me the day after I fixed this problem.

Thanks to all of you on the site that share your experiences/knowledge; certainly has made it much easier to troubleshoot problems with mine.

you have to leave the ex. solenoid plugged in...just cap the valves and remove the rubber hoses...keep solenoid as is
