High Country Limiter Straps/Rear Suspension Setup

SHOOT DEERE IT IS

I'm kind of a rookie to this whole deal, but trying to figure it out as I go. I have a 14 High Country 800 and trying to get the rear suspension dialed in for mainly off-trail riding. I was in the UP for a weekend and been playing around now a little locally here in WI. Anyway, I was looking for some advise on setting up the rear suspension.

I was running about 140 in the rear shock and 75 in the fronts. Everything else stock besides the sway bar removed and powder pro skis. Also have 42/40 helix, 20/49 hyvo gears, and mds weights. I feel I have way to much pressure on the skis and that I should let the limiter strap out. How far should I go? It was in the middle hole on the front and top hole in the back. The side of the strap towards the front of the machine has 3 holes about an inch apart and the backside of the strap has 3 holes that are about a half in apart. They were almost tight with the sled tipped on its side. I let it out 2 of the close holes so maybe an inch longer. Now the straps are pretty loose with the sled on its side. Went for a little rip and feel I should go some more. How far would you suggest to go? I love to wheelie and I know this thing can do a lot more than I've seen so far.

Also, how do you set the preload on the spring of the front shock, around 1/4" like the manual says?

Any tips/hints would be really appreciated. I think this thing should do a lot better than it does compared to my 12 XF 800 with the 1.6 cobra that I had before this. Never adjusted anything on that, ran the float at 150 and it would really hang the skis.

Oh yeah, pretty big guy. 260 without gear.

jmo but if you want to wheelie...the formula generally is less rear skid shock pressure..

more frt skid shock pressure which is more spring preload...loose straps..(anti stab kit recommended ) more air in the fronts ..suspension in higher rear mounting hole..lower frt hole..if there is one..

so im just throwing this out there..im sure someone with way more experience on the 12 will chime in
