High compression head. octane rating?

Just wondering what I should use for fuel. I have a m1000 with the speedwerx 14.5:1 cyl head. we will be riding 7-10k feet. on the sppedwerx site it just says premium fuel. Should I fill a barrel of 91 octane to bring with or just run whats at the pump at the gas station? What are you guys running for fuel?

best bet is to call speedwerx and talk to a person and get it from the horses mouth. generally premium is 91 or higher. so you need to run at least that, or call speedwerx and get the "correct" octane required. ski

If u mix 1 gallon sunoco 110 with 10 gallons super

U will have 94 octane which is perfect for being on the safe side with your mods

Yea, I can get 91 from the pump here in MN. Just trying to keep from hauling 55 gallons of fuel half way across the country. I will have to give speedwerx a call.

In all my trips there I have been able to get premium. Heck I have gotten Premium at Elk Lake.
