Take a look at this one.

All I can say is wow.... take a look at this editorial written by Vail Daily Editor and Publisher Don Rogers. In my opinion this just gives you an idea of what a uphill battle we really have ahead of us. I realize it is an editorial but it's not very encouraging when you see the editor of the paper taking such a biased, one sided stand. It sure doesn't look like we will be getting a fair shake from the Vail Daily anytime soon.

Commented, I suggest that everybody else join in. We need all the public support we can get.

Since most of you can't ride yet, the least you can do is spend a few minutes and add a comment on that rag to help our cause. We need all the public support we can get.

Man, you all need to gather the facts and straighten this guy out. Although I doubt he will
ever print a rebuttal, he's all emotional. Wilderness is for one type of recreation user
only. Non-Motorized and non-wheeled and non-wind powered. He also failed to mention
there are 109.5 million acres closed to motorized nation wide, just in wilderness, not
including all the other types of closures. Over 20% of the National Forest is closed as
Wilderness, and probably close to 30% is closed to motorized. And, most of this is at
prime snowmobile altitudes. The scenic value land, not the animal value land.

How much is already closed for just one group of hikers and skiers, just in White River?

The 400K was just the beginning. He failed to mention that.

Forest fire fighters can not operate with chain saws and bulldozers and the things they
need to do the job safely and right. Even some types of air drops are limited.

Search and rescue can't just go riding into a wilderness to save someone. They have to
stop and ask permission, unless some arrangement is made.

I doubt the air national guard is free from permissions and general nuisances. I know
that here, people hate wilderness, because it can take 4 hours for a rescue helicopter to
get permission to come get you.

Wilderness is not about sharing, it's about one group stomping it's feet and claiming,
MINE, me only. Motorized is about SHARING. We don't limit others. Their own
intolerances limit themselves. All motorized land is MULTIPLE USE, all wilderness is
SINGLE USE.

I need a cold shower after that. Wade
